The purpose of zoning map amendment is to publicly review a change to the Official Zoning Map to ensure that it improves implementation of the Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan or address other health, safety, or welfare issues in the community.
When Is This Required?
A zoning map amendment application is required for any proposal to change the zoning classification of a property, and therefore the applicable land development regulations (LDRs).
How Long: Up to 150 days after application deemed sufficient

Final Decision: Town Council
Most zoning change proposals are linked to up-zoning in hopes to develop. It is encouraged to provide details on proposed development to better understand the intent of the zone change.
