[ARCHIVED] MONDAY, APRIL 19 - SPECIAL WORKSHOP AND REGULAR TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

At the special workshop starting at 2:00pm Town Council will welcome new employee Annette Langley who is the Planning Department’s new Coordinator. Then department directors from Fire/EMS, IT, Planning, and Public Works will provide updates. Next, Community Development Director Tyler Sinclair, will lead a check-in about Council Priorities and staff capacity. Then, Sinclair will present Ordinance 473 for Council consideration to amend or repeal. Ordinance 473 defines family and states that no more than 3 unrelated individuals may live together. Town Clerk Sandy Birdyshaw will then present updates to liquor license in Title 6 to align with changes made by the state. Finally, Assistant Public Works Director Johnny Ziem will present conceptual designs for updates to the Rancher Street corridor.

Public comment will be taken on all these items via Zoom or in the Council Chambers (details below).

The evening of April 19, Town Council will hold its Regular Meeting starting with a proclamation about Spring Clean-Up and burn week. After consent items, Town Manager Larry Pardee will present about a building lease for Square One Systems Design, then Town Clerk Sandy Birdyshaw will present about a restaurant liquor license application for the Alpine Hotel Partners and the transfer of a liquor license for Pizzeria Caldera. Town Attorney Lea Colasuonno will present Resolution 21-10 establishing a new ground transportation fare map and then Finance Director Kelly Thompson will present Resolution 21-11, a third amendment to the Town’s FY2021 budget.

Ordinance W will be read for the third time to reenact Title 5 of Jackson’s Municipal Code including changes to fares for ground transportation and requirements for business licenses. Under ‘Matters from Mayor and Council,’ there will be discussions about Public Art Taskforce appointments, potential Resolutions to submit to the Wyoming Association of Municipalities for its legislative agenda, the fee structure for public records requests, and reports from boards and commissions.

Note: The construction management plan for Hotel Jackson was previously scheduled to be discussed at this meeting but has been moved to Town Council’s Regular Meeting at 6:00pm on Monday, May 3.

  • Community members can attend Town Council’s Workshop April 19 at 2:00pm via Zoom by CLICKING HERE and using the code 83001. Anyone can make Public Comment for up to 3 minutes by using the “Raise Hand” feature to be called upon.
  • Community members can attend Town Council’s April 19 Regular Meeting at 6:00pm via Zoom by CLICKING HERE and using the code 83001. Anyone can make Public Comment for up to 3 minutes by using the “Raise Hand” feature to be called upon.   
  • Community members can attend the Workshop or Regular Meeting to watch it on-screen in Town Council’s chambers at Town Hall and will be required to wear masks.
