Installation of Protected Bike Lanes

Jackson, Wyo. April 17, 2023 - The Town of Jackson will reinstall protected bike lanes on Snow King and Willow the last week of April. Snow King Avenue serves as the primary east-west bicycle route through the Town of Jackson, connecting downtown and neighborhoods in East Jackson to destinations like the Library, the Jackson/Teton County pathway system, school campuses, and commercial areas and neighborhoods in West Jackson. Willow Street is a cross-town corridor connecting Snow King to Jackson Elementary and the Rec Center. Like last year, the eastern-most portion of the bike lane on Snow King will be one-way going east.

The protected bike lanes have paint markings and bollards or flexible plastic to delineate the bike lanes from cars and other traffic, providing improved safety and comfortable riding conditions for people of all ages and abilities. The Town is committed to providing safe, multimodal transpotation for its residents and visitors, and recognizes that a functional, equitable transportation system enables people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, ride transit, or drive safely and comfortably throughout the community.
