Town Secures CARES Act Funding for Community Partners
The Town of Jackson has secured CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) funding for seven local agencies, helping ensure these federal funds come to and help support our larger community.
Entities that submitted eligible COVID-19 related expenses that the Town applied for reimbursement to support include:
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole
Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center
St. John’s Health
Teton County Health Department
Teton County School District, Teton Literacy Center, and Teton Youth & Family Services. In total, these groups will receive over $1 million of CARES Act funding from the $1.25 billion in federal funding that Wyoming had to respond to the effects of the pandemic.
Per legislation passed in Wyoming’s 2020 Special Session, the Governor’s ability to spend the $1.25 billion in CARES Act money was split into three disbursements by the Legislature. The recent allocation to the Town of Jackson and the partners for which it was able to apply came from the third disbursement.
