Town Council Evening Meeting
Tuesday, February 16

Due to the President’s Day holiday, Town Council’s workshop and regular meeting, usually on Monday, will take place Tuesday, February 16.  Town Council Workshops generally start at 3:00pm, but this meeting will start at 2:00pm due to the number of items on the agenda.

Workshops are designed for review of identified topics or requests, draft ordinances, or other items staff seeks feedback on prior to placing it on a regular meeting agenda. Workshops are usually reserved for preliminary discussions, input, and perspective, and not typically for making final decisions.

At the upcoming Workshop, at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 16, Council will consider if there is a potential policy to make regarding special events in the coming months, given that COVID-19 is still present in our community. If you have perspective on special events during the pandemic, Public Comment will be taken via Zoom or in the Council Chambers during the meeting. See details for participating below.

Also, at the workshop, Town Manager Larry Pardee will discuss a potential revision to the Municipal Code to allow fees to be updated annually through a Resolution. Public comment will be taken on this item during the meeting (details below).

In addition, Pardee will provide a budget check-in for Council including sales tax collections to date and a series of potential budget amendments.

Tuesday evening (February 16) at 6:00pm, Town Council’s Regular Meeting will take place. Town Clerk Sandy Birdyshaw will present a Liquor License application to transfer the license from Whole Grocer to Whole Foods Market along with annual renewals of the Towns 73 liquor licenses for the year.

Ordinance V, amending and re-enacting Jackson’s Municipal Code related to updating fees will be read for the first time.

Public comment will be taken on all these items via Zoom or in the Council Chambers (details below). Council will discuss the Town-appointed seat on the Teton District Board of Health, matters from Mayor and Council, and the Town Manager’s report.
