COVID-19 CURRENT HEALTH ORDERS

Recommendations from the Teton District Health Officer: 

Recommendations from the Teton District Health Officer are issued solely as guidance. Recommendations do not require approval by the Wyoming State Health Officer. Though not legally enforceable, recommendations offer health advice to best protect the community.

As of January 27, 2021, the Teton County District Health Officer has re-issued the recommendation for Teton County to Gather Within Household Members Only. This is effective through February 14th. 

As of January 21, 2021, Teton County is in the critical risk (purple) level, which includes these recommendations for the general public.

Statewide Health Orders:

Statewide Health Orders are issued by the Wyoming State Health Officer and are in effect for the entire state. They are issued by a medical professional rather than an elected official. 

In effect February 15, 2021 through February 28, 2021: 

  1. The 21st Continuation of Order #1: Conditions of operation for establishments including bars, restaurants, theaters, gymnasiums, child care facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools.

  2. The 21st Continuation of Order #2: Gathering size limitations.

  3. The 21st Continuation of Order #3: Conditions of operation for personal services establishments including nail salons, hair salons, barber shops, massage therapy services, tattoo, body art and piercing shops, and cosmetology, electrology, and esthetic services.

  4. The 3rd Continuation of Order #4: Requires face coverings in certain places, with exceptions, throughout the State of Wyoming.

Recommendations from the Teton District Health Officer: 

Recommendations from the Teton District Health Officer are issued solely as guidance. Recommendations do not require approval by the Wyoming State Health Officer. Though not legally enforceable, recommendations offer health advice to best protect the community.

As of February 11, 2021, Teton County is in the moderate risk (orange) level, which includes these recommendations for the general public.

Teton County Health Orders:

Teton County Health Orders are issued by the Teton District Health Office with authorization and approval from the Wyoming State Health Officer. These orders are issued by medical professionals, not elected officials. They are in effect for all of Teton County, Wyoming, including the City of Jackson. 

No Teton County Health Orders are active at this time

Other Policies: 

Mask/Face Covering Policy for all Wyoming State Buildings

*Variances: The Statewide Health Orders include provisions for County Health Officers to submit requests for variances based on local conditions and health data. Countywide Variance Orders may be less restrictive or more restrictive than the measures imposed in the Statewide Health Orders. Variances must be approved by the Wyoming State Health Officer. If approved, a variance is instituted as a local (Teton District) Health Order.
