Town of Jackson Receives Referendum Petition

Jackson, Wyo. August 7, 2018 – The Town Clerk received one referendum petition today prior to the 5:00 PM deadline.  The petition was regarding Ordinance 1197 pertaining to the rezoning of Districts 3-6 in Jackson.  This ordinance took effect on July 18, 2018.  Pursuant to Wyoming Statutes, the Town Clerk’s office will be working to certify this petition in the coming days.  Should the petition be certified, the Town Council would immediately suspend the ordinance, determine whether to repeal the ordinance or place the question on a ballot for the voters at either a special election or the general election in November.

Further information will be released as it develops.
