The following is an overview of the Town Council’s actions taken on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in their workshop and regular meeting.

Town Council Workshop
Tuesday, February 18, 2020

  • The Council directed staff to draft a lease allowing the Housing Trust to lease six parking spaces in the Deloney Public Parking lot, related to the development at 174 North King Street.
  • A street design was approved to allow tour bus parking on King Street.
  • The Council directed staff to work with each council member to draft a comment letter that will be from the Town Council regarding the Forest Service’s draft environmental impact statement on Snow King’s Master Plan Amendment. The letter will be reviewed in the March 2nd council meeting.

Town Council Evening Meeting
Tuesday, February 18, 2020

  • New town employee, Mary Mittler was introduced by the Mayor as the Town’s new paralegal.
  • Mayor Muldoon read a commendation proclamation for Officer Justin Lancaster who received the Police Department’s Medal of Bravery related to the Rusty Parrot fire.
  • The Council approved meeting minutes and disbursements as presented. The January 2020 Municipal Court report was placed into the record.
  • A Temporary Sign Permit was approved for the Million Pound Party at Hole Food Rescue (P20-020).
  • A Special Event Permit was approved for the Snow King Hill Climb.
  • Three Public Work projects were approved: Bid 20‐10: Contract for Center Street Water Main Replacement, Bid 20‐13: Contract for Cache Creek Tube Phase 2C, and Bid 20‐15: Contract for the 2020 Spring Road Patching and Overlay Project.
  • An Encroachment Agreement was approved at 645 S. Cache Street for Soil Nailing (P20‐003) was approved.
  • The Council approved the application for a new restaurant Liquor License made by China Fun WY, LLC. They will open in April in the Hong Kong Buffet space.
  • The Council approved the annual liquor license renewals, excluding two retail licenses held by Tastebuds LLC and LFM Jackson LLC.
  • The Council approved Planning Item P19-248, a Development Plan for Glenwood Gill Condominiums at 185 N Glenwood.
  • The Council continued Item P19‐187: Text Amendment to LDR Section 8.10 Duties & Responsibilities Related to Planning Director and Community Development Director to March 2nd.
  • The Snow King Resort Master Association (SKRMA) Master Plan Amendment was continued to March 2nd.
  • The Council continued Planning Item P19‐262, Development Plan Amendment at 140 & 142 Pine Glades Drive to March 16th.
  • Ordinance L regarding the liquor municipal code passed second reading.
  • Ordinance N was approved at first reading granting Jackson Curbside a franchise renewal.
  • The Council proposed future workshop discussion on a vaping ordinance, changes to special event requirements, and a net-zero plan.
  • The Town Managers report contained an update on budget reallocation/amendments.
