Town Council Action Items
The Jackson Town Council met twice on Monday, January 6, 2020. Below are outcomes from this meeting:
JOINT INFORMATION MEETING
• The Council and Commission interviewed applicants for positions on the Airport Board, Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Supply Board, and Parks and Recreation Board.
• The Council and Commission authorized the Jackson Teton County Housing Authority Board to execute quitclaim deeds for 430 West Kelly Avenue, 440 West Kelly Avenue, and 3590 North Kennel Lane.
• The Council and Commission changed the number of members on the START Board from 7 to 9.
• Appointments were made to the Airport Board, Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Supply Board, START Board, and Parks and Recreation Board. Appointments to the Pathways Taskforce was continued to a later meeting.
• The Council and Commission approved moving forward with a RFP process for an Employee Generation by Land Use Study, (Nexus Study) and to form a stakeholder group.
REGULAR TOWN COUNCIL EVENING MEETING
• New town employees were introduced by the Mayor: Associate Engineer Caitlin Barilec, Police Officer Amanda White, and Reserve Officer Tim Cole.
• Mayor Muldoon read a proclamation for Jackson being named the number one art-vibrant small community and a proclamation for KMTN’s 45th anniversary.
• The Council approved meeting minutes and disbursements as presented.
• A Temporary Sign Permit was approved for Pole Pedal Paddle
• The Town’s official depositories for 2020 were designated.
• Bid# 20-09 was approved for the purchase of two new pickup trucks from Teton Motors for public works.
• Planning item P19-269, Final Plat at 825 W. Snow King for Grove Phase 3 was approved.
• The Snow King Resort Master Association (SKRMA) Master Plan Amendment was discussed and continued.
• Ordinance M passed third reading to annex 1150 Highway 22 into the corporate limits of the Town.
• Ordinance L regarding the liquor municipal code was revised and will be brought back for first reading.
