The Jackson Town Council met 2 times on Monday, October 21 for public meetings: a Workshop at 3pm and a Regular Evening Meeting at 6pm.

Town Council Workshop
Monday, October 21
3:00pm
• The Mayor introduced two new START employees - Fermin Domingo a Star Valley Commuter Operator and Jennifer Domingo an ADA Transit Operator. Yes, they are husband and wife!
• The Council reviewed proposed updates to the liquor section of the municipal code and directed staff to draft an ordinance for consideration.
• The Council reviewed possible annexation of three sections of roadway and directed staff to work on preparing annexation documents.
Town Council Regular Evening Meeting
Monday, October 21
6:00pm
• The Council approved meeting minutes, disbursements, and accepted the September Municipal Court report as presented.
• A temporary sign permit was approved for Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling for plastic bag reminders.
• The Council approved two Homeland Security grant awards for the Jackson Police Department.
• A contract with Nelson Engineering and Raftelis was approved to conduct a 2020 Comprehensive Rate and Capacity Study.
• The Council approved two sewer connection requests at 3555 N Cheney Road in the Wilson Sewer District and for the South Park Service Center Improvement District.
• Item P19-170, a final plat at 170 Redmond Street was withdrawn by the applicant.
• The public hearing for the Annexation Petition submitted by Monroe Partners Old West LLC was moved to December 2, 2019.
• The Council discussed placing an item on the December JIM agenda to discuss helicopter touring and directed staff to update a review of town owned property that may be used for housing.
• The Town Managers report contained an update on the sales and lodging tax.
