On Wednesday, September 11th Emergency Service Responders in Jackson will be hosting 2 memorial events. All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.

8:00am – Town Square. Join members of Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, Jackson Police Department, Teton County Sheriff’s Department and TC Emergency Services in a memorial service remembering all those impacted by the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

6:00pm – Snow King. All members of the community are invited to join emergency service responders as they climb to the top of Snow King Mountain. The elevation gain from the base of Snow King to the last switchback is approximately the same elevation gain as the World Trade Center (The Twin Towers). Participants are invited to carry a picture of a first responder that lost their life on 9/11 to the top of Snow King in remembrance so we will never forget. The C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) bus will be parked on Snow King Avenue and cooking a meal for all who participate in the 9/11 Hill Climb.

For more information on these events please contact Shannon Burns with Jackson Hole Fire/EMS at 307-733-4732 or at sburns@tetoncountywy.gov
