The Town of Jackson will be hosting a Potluck Lunch on Wednesday, January 30 at the Town Hall for all Federal Employees, Federal Contract Workers and their families.
The lunch is open to those impacted by the government shutdown and will be held in the Town Council Chambers of the Town Hall located at 150 East Pearl Avenue on Wednesday, January 30 between the hours of 11:30am and 1:00pm.
The Town of Jackson would like to express our gratitude for the commitment and service to all the dedicated and hard-working federal employees at partner agencies in the area that are currently affected and challenged by the on-going government shutdown.
While the effects are felt nationwide, our region is especially impacted. We recognize that many talented people in our community dedicate their professional lives to protecting, promoting, managing, and preserving our public lands and resources, and that the current shutdown may be creating hardship for these individuals and their families. These men and women are valued members of our community, and we would like to offer one gesture of appreciation that may help those impacted.
Thank you, again, for your service, your sacrifice and everything that you do every day for this area that we care for so much. Our community is grateful for all that you do and we are committed to supporting the local employees of these agencies, both during this current situation and in the future.
