[ARCHIVED] CHAT WITH COUNCIL & STAFF | WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16

Chat

Since starting ‘Chat With Council’ engagement sessions in August of 2021 these  monthly, informal chats for community members to connect with Town Councilmembers have been a great success. As these ‘Chats’ continue, we have heard from numerous members of the community who want to have the opportunity to attend them in-person. So, this Wednesday, November 16 the Town will host the first in-person ‘Chat’ in Town Council’s Chambers at Town Hall. Join us to chat with Vice Mayor Arne Jorgensen and Councilmember Jim Rooks from 12:00-1:00pm. Bring your lunch, or just yourself and any town-related questions you have!

Going forward, these ‘Chats’ will be held in-person and via Zoom every other month, so community members can continue to join in-person, via Zoom, or both on alternate months. In addition, as these ‘Chats’ evolve the Town is starting to ‘feature’ particular staff members to share specifics about their current projects each month. This Wednesday, Ecosystem Stewardship Administrator, Tanya Anderson, will share perspective about her role and current projects. We hope to see you there.

About ‘Chats With Council’: These informal opportunities to engage with Town Councilmembers provide the venue and platform for community members to ask Councilmembers questions, seek explanation and clarification about government processes, and share what is on their minds with local Town electeds. These ‘Chats’ are not recorded or entered into the Public Record, and Councilmembers are speaking from their perspectives only and not representing a majority of the Council. Members of the media do often join ‘Chats With Council,’ so they are public forums in the sense that reporters can gather comments and perspective.
