3rd ANNUAL VETERAN'S DAY WALK / RUCK / RUN
Join the Jackson Police Department for a special event to commemorate Veterans while collecting food donations.
This event is free to participate and open to all. Following a short Veteran's Day ceremony at the Town Square, participants can begin a 11.11 mile walk, ruck march or run through Jackson.
We are asking that participants arrive with at least 35 pounds of food for donation to the Jackson Cupboard. Participants who wish to run or walk may leave the food at the American Legion post. Those who wish to ruck march may carry their donations with them and turn them over to the American Legion post when they finish. All food will be turned over to the Jackson Cupboard at the end of the day.
If you wish to donate, but are unable to participate in the walk, ruck march or run please feel free to drop off donations at the Jackson Police Department (150 E. Pearl Avenue), the American Legion Post #43 (190 N. Cache) or at the Veteran's Day ceremony in the Town Square.
No changes from years past beyond the fact that the American Legion will be open for food and drinks after we complete the route. The American Legion will also serve as the collection/drop point for donations on Veteran’s Day.
For any questions about this event please contact Corporal Stephen O'Donnell at (307) 733-1430 ext. 1207 or email SODonnell@jacksonwy.gov.
