Congratulations to Jeremy Parker - Associate Engineer in the Town of Jackson's Public Works Department.
Jeremy is the recipient of this month's Value Jackson Award.
Since 2006, Jeremy has been serving the public in Jackson's Public Works Department.
Kelly Bowlin, the Development Coordinator in the Town of Jackson's Planning and Building Department, nominated Jeremy for this award.
"Jeremy's job can be tough. There aren’t many people wanting to say 'thank you' for shutting off water service or tearing up a street as part of a capital improvement project, but Jeremy always takes these situations all in stride and handles individuals with respect, great customer service and professionalism."
"Jeremy and I work a lot with the same individuals. They will usually start with him and end with me. The feedback that I constantly receive is how great he treated them, nice guy, he took the time to walk a job and explain our process, he was polite, professional, and very responsive. These same traits carry over internally to the organization."
Jeremy announced several months ago that he will be leaving the organization upon the conclusion of the construction season this year. He will be missed greatly by all of us here at the Town of Jackson. In her presentation, Kelly Bowlin said "I will miss his 'calm in the eye of the storm manner', his knowledge, and good conversations, but I know his future is bright."
