Workshop & Council Meeting | Tuesday, February 22

February 18 – Jackson’s Town Council will hold a Workshop and evening meeting on Tuesday, February 22 due to Town Offices being closed for the President’s Day holiday on Monday. The Workshop, starting at 1:30pm, will begin with Director Updates from the START Bus and IT departments. After that, Town Manager Larry Pardee will present a discussion of potential Specific Purpose Excise Tax or SPET items. Then, Community Development Director Tyler Sinclair will present about the Lodging Overlay and Short-Term Rentals. Public Comment will be taken on both of these items. This meeting will adjourn when Council has finished with each item, but by no later than 5:00pm.

At 6:00pm, Town Council’s Regular Meeting will start with public comment about items that are not on the agenda. Then, Council will consider the consent calendar including meeting minutes, disbursements, and various special event permits. Under ‘Public Hearings/Discussion/Action Items,’ Town Manager Larry Pardee will present Snow King Center Lease Agreements. After that, Assistant Town Manager Roxanne Robinson will present a Council Salary Review. Next, Robinson will present a Stage Stop Lease with the Chamber of Commerce. After that, Deputy Town Clerk Lynsey Lenamond will present 2022 Liquor License Renewals, and Roadhouse Microbrewery’s and Snake River Brewing’s annual license renewals. Following that, Planning Director Paul Anthony will present a Request for a Land Development Regulation Text Amendment to change the minimum lot size in the Rural District. Then, Anthony will present and LDR Text Amendment to limit the height of attached dwellings in Complete Neighborhood Character Zones of NM-2 and NH-1. Then, Police Chief Michelle Weber and Public Works Director Floren Poliseo will present about a Transitional Speed Limit for North Highway 89.

 

After that, Resolutions will be read including an ARPA Airport Grant, a FFA Grant Transfer, an Equity Task Force, and a Designated Street Schedule Update. Under Ordinances, the Definition of Family will have its first reading and Board Appointments will have its 2nd reading.

 

Under Matters for Mayor and Council, Council will discuss appointment of Equity Task Force members. Finally, the Town Manager’s Report will be considered.
