Joint Information & Town Council Meetings | Monday, February 7 

Jackson’s Town Council and the Teton County Commission will meet for a Joint Information Meeting (JIM) on Monday, February 7. This meeting, starting at 3:00pm, will begin with Public Comment for items not on the agenda. The Consent Calendar will be considered after that, including Minutes from previous meetings. Following that, Housing Director April Norton will present about the Housing Preservation Program. Then, County Public Works Director Heather Overholser will present an update about the BUILD (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development) Grant, which includes $20M in federal funding for various projects including a new Stilson Transit Center and new commuter and pathways over Teton Pass. Next, Interim START Director Bruce Abel will present a Budget Amendment to allow additional funding for START On-Demand in and the purchase of an Intelligent Transportation System to assist tracking buses in real time. The final item before the two bodies will be a Public Hearing and Resolution to allow the Jackson Hole Airport to issue $25 million in bonds for design, construction, remodeling, and improvements at the airport. This meeting will adjourn at 5:00pm.

At 6:00pm, Town Council’s Regular Meeting will start with public comment about items that are not on the agenda. Then, Council will consider the consent calendar including meeting minutes, January’s Municipal Court Report, various Temporary Sign Permit applications, and other items.  Under ‘Public Hearings/Discussion/Action Items,’ Assistant Town Manager Roxanne Robinson will present about possible uses for the Garden Level Space at 155 East Pearl Avenue. Then, Robinson will present about the Classification and Compensation Study Vendor selection. After that, Town Planner Tyler Valentine will present a development plan for 445 East Kelly Avenue. Next, Finance Director Kelly Thompson will present Resolution #22-01 to amend the budget. Then, Ordinance D regarding Board Appointments will be read for the first time by Town Attorney Lea Colasuonno. Under Matters for Mayor and Council, there will be a potential recess to Executive Session to discuss personnel matters and appointment of a Municipal Judge. Finally, the Town Manager’s Report will be considered. 
 
Public comment will be taken on items listed under ‘Public Hearing/Discussion/Action Items’ via Zoom. Digital attendance is welcome, details below.

  • Community members can attend and make Public Comment at Town Council and the County Commission’s JIM on February 7 between 3:00 and 5:00pm via Zoom by CLICKING HERE and using password 83001. Anyone can make Public Comment at specific times for up to 3 minutes by using the “Raise Hand” feature to be called upon within the Zoom platform.
