Town Council Workshop & Regular Meeting | Tuesday, January 18
January 14 – Jackson’s Town Council will meet for a Workshop Tuesday, January 18 starting at 1:30pm. This meeting will start with Director updates from the Legal, Personnel, Police and START Bus department directors. After that, Community Development Director Tyler Sinclair will present about Bear Conflict Mitigation. Then, Parks & Rec Director will provide an update about the Rec Center expansion. Next, Town Attorney Lea Colasuonno will present about updates to the Title 9 Criminal Code, which deals with public peace, morals, and welfare.
At 6:00pm Town Council will convene for its Regular Meeting. After calling the meeting order and Pledge of Allegiance, the Consent Calendar will be considered including December’s Municipal Court Report and temporary sign requests. Under ‘Public Hearings, Discussion and/or Possible Action Items’ Pathways Coordinator, Brian Schilling, will present a possible Letter of Support about designating US Bicycle Route 76. Then, Special Event Coordinator Carl Pelletier will present about the Town’s Special Event Policy related to COVID-19. Next, Brian Schilling will present again, this time about recommendations for Pathway and EBike Safety. After that, Town Planner Tyler Valentine will lead a continued discussion about the Sketch Plan for 67,000 square feet of Mixed-Use Building at 50 S. Cache Street and 45 & 75 E. Pearl Avenue.
