JIM & Regular Meeting | Monday, December 6
Jackson’s Town Council will meet with the Teton County Commission at 1:30pm on Monday for a Joint Information Meeting (JIM). The meeting will begin with joint volunteer board interviews for the Pathways Taskforce and the START Board. Board interviews take place via a separate, private Zoom link. The public may watch interviews live in the County Commission’s Chamber and recordings will be made available upon request. Once interviews are complete, the two boards will come together again at 2:30pm to first hear a report about a recent county-wide Behavioral Health Needs Assessment. Following that, Housing Director April Norton will present about a First/Last Deposit Pilot Program. Next, Town Manager Larry Pardee and County Administrator Alyssa Watkins will present the Council and Commission with ideas regarding the timing of the next Specific Purpose Excise Tax (SPET) Election. There may be an Executive Session following that item, if needed for board appointments. The final item under matters from the Council, Commission, and staff will be to change the JIM meeting scheduled for January 3rd to January 10th.
At 6:00pm, Town Council will hold its Regular Meeting, which will begin with a proclamation for Small Business Saturday. After that the consent calendar, with meeting minutes, a parking lease for Salt Lake Express, disbursements, and more. Then, Assistant Town Manager Roxanne Robinson will present about Excused Absences and changing appointments currently made by the Mayor with support from the majority of Council to be appointments made by the majority of Council. After that, Town Planner Katelyn Page will present a Partial Vacation at 55 Virginian Lane. Next, Community Development Director Tyler Sinclair will lead Council through a discussion regarding Stable and Transitional Neighborhoods, an item continued from the November 15 Workshop. As with all continued items, public comment will not be taken on this item as it was taken when it was first discussed. Numerous Ordinances will be read including one about changing the timing of Regular Town Council Workshops to start at 1:00pm, Building and Construction Codes, and updates to Title 10, which focuses on traffic and vehicles. Under Matters from Mayor and Council, there will be an announcement that the Regular Meeting scheduled for January 3rd will now be on January 10th. Board and Commission reports will be heard, if any, and then the Town Manager’s Report will be considered.
