Posted on: December 29, 2020[ARCHIVED] DON'T TRASH THAT TREE - RECYCLE IT FOR FREE!

CHRISTMAS TREE DROP OFF – “Don’t trash that tree, recycle it for free.”
Bring your bare Christmas tree down to the Teton County Fairgrounds - the southwest corner by recycling containers.
Make sure that your tree is dropped off the same way that it came into your house:
- No Tinsel
- No Ornaments
- No Lights
- No Nuttin’
Drop off your tree for free until January 31. Please NO drop offs after January 31
No Commercial drop offs (if you work for a property management company or a landscaping company and are disposing of Christmas trees for work please take them directly to the Trash Transfer Station located at 5400 US Highway 89.)
You can also tree at the Teton County Transfer station for free.
- Private households are free (but will still have to weigh on the scale)
- Commercial businesses will pay standard yard waste disposal fee.
- The Teton County Trash Transfer Station is located at 5400 US Highway 89
The trees collected will be composted locally.
- TerraFirma will be composting the trees.
- Composting the trees locally saves an 80 mile trip to the Bonneville County Solid Waste facility.
