START BUS is to update its services to meet the community’s current needs and consider what transit could be in the future by updating its Transit Development Plan (TDP). TDP’s typically outline 5-year strategies for transit agencies to improve public transportation services. The Teton region has experienced significant changes since START Bus's previous TDP plan, which was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new TDP will evaluate the current system and present plans to build on its successes and improve its services. The evaluation includes engaging with community members about transportation habits and needs through a survey available in both English and Spanish. START will compile draft recommendations based on input gathered from the survey and then present a revised plan to the START board by Fall of 2025.
