Starting Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28, West High School Road will be closed while the Town excavates and installs a water transmission line to the new well house at Well 10. Once installed, Well 10 will significantly improve water pressure and the amount of water available for residents across West Jackson. During this project, High School Road will be fully closed to vehicular traffic between Rangeview Drive and Corner Creek Lane from Monday through Friday.
The following week, from Monday, March 31 through Friday, April 4 West High School Road will be closed again to bring utility lines to the area where Central Wyoming College’s new building will be. Since the area will already be open and the Town is accessing various utility lines, it makes sense to extend these utilities during one big dig to avoid excavating the same area again. During this construction, the road will be fully closed to vehicular traffic between Corner Creek Lane and Middle School Road while contractors install water and sewer pipes and power and communication lines for the college’s new facility to access.
During these projects drivers, bikers, and pedestrians should seek alternate routes whenever possible to avoid the construction sites. Everyone must obey all notifications, detours, and parking restriction signs around the construction sites, which are there for the safety of community members and construction workers. The Town of Jackson and its partners and contractors thank the community, in advance, for understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. The dates above are the Town’s best guess of the length of these projects but are subject to change.
