September 7– Starting at 6:00pm on Monday, September 11, Town Council will hold a Special Meeting in Council’s Chambers. This is a special meeting as it is replaces the Regular Meeting missed due to the Labor Day holiday. The meeting will begin with a call to order, roll call, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Then Mayor Morton Levinson will read the Town’s Land Acknowledgement and a Proclamation for Hunger Action Month. Following that, Council will consider the Consent Calendar including meeting minutes, disbursements, the August Municipal Court Report, temporary sign permits, a School Resource Officer Agreement, and more.
Next, Fire Chief Steve Jellie will present an update about emergency preparedness for fires. Following that, Senior Deputy Clerk Lynsey Lenamond will present an extension request for a non-operational bar and grill license for the Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa. After that, Building Official Kelly Slider will present a demolition permit for 135 North Gros Ventre Street. Then, Town Manager Tyler Sinclair will present a response to the State Legislature’s Regulatory Reduction Task Force.
Next, Council will consider a reading of Resolution 23-18 Setting the Regular Meeting Schedule. After that, Council will consider readings of Ordinances about the following.
- Ordinance T: An Ordinance Repealing Regular Meeting Schedule to Allow Setting by Resolution
- Ordinance V: An Ordinance Annexing Central Wyoming College - Jackson Campus
- Ordinance W: An Amendment to the Official Zoning Map for Karns Meadow
- Ordinance X: An Ordinance Updating Required Bicycle Parking
The final item in this meeting will be consideration of the Town Manager’s Report including potential support for a lunch during the Wyoming Association of Municipalities’ Summer Convention in 2024, which will take place in Pinedale. This meeting will take place in the Council’s chambers and via Zoom. Public comment will be taken on discussion items at this meeting.
