Joint Information & Town Council Meetings | Monday, March 7
Jackson’s Town Council and the Teton County Commission will meet for a Joint Information Meeting (JIM) on Monday, March 7. This meeting, starting at 2:00pm, will begin with public comment for items that are not on the agenda. Then, the consent calendar with minutes from previous meetings will be considered. Next, Police Chief Michelle Weber, Fire Chief Brady Hansen, Teton County Sherriff Matt Carr and others will present Radio Committee and Subscriber Agreements to address the aging radio communication infrastructure in Teton County. Following that, local Town and County elected officials will be joined by representatives from Lincoln County, WY, Teton County ID, communities of Alpine, Victor, Driggs, Tetonia and others for a presentation of the Regional Housing Needs Assessment. The meeting will adjourn after matters from Council, Commissioners, and staff.
Town Council’s Regular meeting will begin at 6:00pm with proclamations for Red Cross month, JH Youth Hockey, and an appreciation for our community’s response to COVID-19. Then, new employees Chelsea Holcomb who recently joined the Police Department and Glenn Geddes who is the newest employee in Public Works will be introduced. The Consent Calendar will be considered after that with various temporary sign permit and special event applications. Under ‘Public Hearings, Discussion and/or Possible Action Items,’ Town Manager Larry Pardee will present about consulting services for Federal Grant Funding. Then, Deputy Town Clerk Lynsey Lenamond will present the Roadhouse Microbrewery Annual Liquor License Renewal. Following that, Town Attorney Lea Colasuonno will present an Easement Amendment for Snow King Mountain. Next, Pathways Coordinator Brian Schilling will present a concept design for Scott Lane and Maple Way. Under Planning, Paul Anthony, Planning Director, will present a Boundary Adjustment on Budge Drive and Town Planner Tyler Valentine will present a Conditional Use Permit and Adjustment for the Parks & Rec Center. Then, Police Chief Michelle Weber will present a speed limit study.
Ordinances being read for the first time include Updating Council Salaries and amendments to the Land Development regulations for minimum lot size and allowable height. An Ordinance defining family will be read for the second time, and one about Board Appointments will be read for the third and final time. The meeting will adjourn after Matters from Mayor and Council and the Town Manager’s Report.
