Below are a list of current public right-of-way projects taking place in Jackson.  

  • W. Mercill at North Cache Closure for Private Utility Work - JUNE 11 and JUNE 12

Please note that road projects on West Broadway and North Cache are under the direction of the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). 

Construction Notification of Lane Closure – W. Mercill @ N. Cache 


Project: 315 N Cache - Private Utility Work (Public Right of Way Permit B20-0287)
-Existing Water and Sewer Service Abandonment
-Connect New Water and Sewer Services

Where: 315 N Cache; Eastbound Lane on Mercill Ave. from Glenwood to Cache

When: Road Closure - June 11-12, 2020

Why: Private Utility Work for 315 N Cache LLC.

LANE CLOSURE (Weather Permitting):

  • Thursday and Friday June 11 – 12: No through traffic on Eastbound Mercill between Glenwood and Cache (See map). Detour to Gill or Perry.

ALLEY CLOSURE (Weather Permitting):

  • Monday June 15

ADDITIONAL WORK:

  • Monday – Wednesday, June 15-17: Construction cones will block the westbound bike lane along the south property boundary at 315 N Cache during utility excavation.

2020 Sidewalk Improvements Project

The Town of Jackson and Evans Construction will be performing streetscape construction as part of the 2020 Sidewalk Improvements project. Evans will mobilize construction equipment Monday morning, April 20th and occupy the block of Jackson Street between Broadway and Pearl for the duration of the project (end of May/early June).

UPDATED - June 11, 2020

Project work remains ongoing on Jackson Street.   The sidewalk improvement project has also started on Hansen as well. 

Location: Jackson St between Pearl Ave and Broadway, and Pearl Ave at the Jackson St intersection (See Attached Map)

Construction Information: The Town of Jackson and Evans Construction continue construction of the Jackson Street Sidewalk Project.

Roadway and curb and gutter construction work in the intersection of Pearl Ave and Jackson St and along Pearl Ave will keep the intersection closed in all directions for approximately one week, starting May 5.

The block of Jackson St between Pearl Ave and Broadway will remain closed for continued roadway and sidewalk work until the end of May.Sidewalk project

Schedule: (Weather Permitting)

  • The Pearl Ave / Jackson St intersection will be closed to traffic in all directions May 5 through May 11.
  • Jackson Street remains closed from Pearl Ave to Broadway until the end of May.

ROAD CLOSURE, NO PARKING and ACCESS RESTRICTION Information:

  • Pedestrian access only on Jackson St. between Pearl Ave and Broadway.
  • Traffic detours allow vehicle access and parking along Pearl Ave. in both directions from the intersection.

Updates will be provided if the schedule changes.

Businesses in this area are accessible during construction, but may be affected by Covid-19.

Sidewalk

2020 Spring Patching and Overlay

The Town of Jackson and Avail Valley Construction will begin the annual Spring Patching and Overlay Project on Monday, May 18th, 2020. Expect intermittent road closures and detours with active traffic flagging. Construction duration approximately 1 week, weather permitting.

Schedule: (Weather Permitting)

  • Monday, May 18th, 2020 Construction Begins
  • Milling and Paving has been rescheduled to Thursday (May 28) and Friday (May 29)
  • Work hours are weekdays, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • No construction work is planned on weekends.

Please obey “No Parking” signs.

During the road closures, bicycle and vehicle traffic are required to use alternate routes. Pedestrian access through the construction zone will be allowed at all times on the sidewalks.

The Center Street Water Main Replacement Project 

The Town of Jackson and Westwood Curtis have started construction of the Center Street Water Main Replacement Project.

UPDATE  5/22/2020:  Westwood Curtis has completed paving and concrete work associated with the project and plans to reopen Center Street from Broadway to Gill at the end of the work day today.

Remaining Construction Items:

-General Site Clean-up.

-Water valve lids needed in two locations (we will keep a construction cone over this item for now).

-Painting: Striping, Marking, Parking

(Note: Wet weather has kept us from completing painting of the new pavement prior to opening the road. Painting work will require traffic adjustments at a later date. Please use caution along the unmarked street).

Cache Creek Tube Phase Stormwater Phase 2C Project

Construction Information: The Town of Jackson and Westwood Curtis have started construction of the Cache Creek Tube Stormwater Phase 2C Project. This project involves re-alignment of the Cache Creek stormwater piping into the Town’s right-of-way.

- Bruun St. (aka Willow) between Broadway and Deloney will be closed during the construction project.

- Deloney between King and Willow will be closed for the excavation of utilities.

Schedule: (Weather Permitting)

  • Paving Planned for Deloney the week of May 18th.
  • Paving Planned for Bruun the week of June 1st.
  • Work hours are weekdays, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • No construction work is planned on weekends.

Project: 260 W Pearl Water Service

Where: 260 W Pearl Ave; Eastbound Lane between Millward and Jackson St.

When: April 20, 21, 27

Why: Excavation and installation of buried power

LANE CLOSURE (Weather and Progress Permitting):

  • Starting Monday April 20 – 21 the eastbound lane will be closed for excavation work.
  • Monday April 27 the eastbound lane will be closed for paving.
  • Follow signs for detour south to Simpson over to Millward.
  • Sidewalk on south side of Pearl Ave. will be closed.

Additional Information: Motorists, Bicyclists and Pedestrians alike are advised to seek alternate routes in the vicinity of this construction activity.
