Public Transportation

Jackson has an excellent public bus system called START (Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit). It is free to take the bus within town, and very affordable to ride it out to Teton Village, south to Star Valley, or west to Teton Valley, Idaho. For more extensive transportation within the surrounding areas, the Linx program provides a convenient way to get from Jackson Hole to

If you are planning a trip outside Jackson, with the new Ride 2Fly program you can park for free in the downtown parking garage and schedule an affordable shuttle trip to the Jackson Hole Airport and back again. If you'd rather use your own energy to get yourself around town, Jackson has a great bike share program called START Bike. You can simply rent a bike from any of more than a dozen locations around town. To find out more about this program, visit the START Bike website.


Jackson and Teton County have an extensive bicycle / pedestrian pathway network. Almost anywhere you can think of going is accessible via one of our safe bicycle pathways.
