Municipal Court

The Municipal Court office manages warrants, probation, accounting, and administration for citations cited in to the Municipal Court.

The Jackson Municipal Court hears violations of ordinances that may involve:

  • Animal Control violations
  • Criminal offenses
  • Municipal ordinance violations
  • Parking violations
  • Traffic violations

All cases in Municipal Court are misdemeanors.

Appearing in Municipal Court

Initial appearances in Jackson Municipal Court are typically held every Wednesday at 9 a.m.  You may contact the Court Clerk by calling the Clerk’s Office at (307) 733-3932 ext. 1165 to ensure that court is in session.

Municipal Court sessions are held in the Clifford P. Hansen Memorial Courthouse, located at 145 E. Simpson Ave, Jackson, WY  83001.

Video appearances will continue to be available with the Court's permission.  For instruction and invitations for video hearings, please email the Court Clerk (courtclerk@jacksonwy.gov) at least 24 hours prior to the hearing date.

Payments may be mailed to PO Box 1687, Jackson, WY  83001, delivered to the front desk at the Town Hall, or paid online. Please be sure to include your citation number (located vertically in the upper right-corner) with any mailed payments. The Town of Jackson accepts cash, credit/debit cards, and personal checks (please do not mail cash).
