Engineering Department
About the Department
The Engineering Department supports the larger activities of the Public Works Department by determining the extent of construction, completing design plan, contracting work programs, and overseeing the completion of projects.
The department develops and monitors a Capital Improvements Program (CIP), which focuses on major municipal projects necessary to maintain and/or expand Town infrastructure. Town engineers review plans in conjunction with the Planning Department to ensure compliance with the Town's Land Development Regulations (PDF).

All utility designs are subject to approval by the Town Engineer, and modification of these standards may be required by the Town Engineer to address specific project circumstances.
Furthermore, these standards are subject to change, and such changes may be applicable at the time of approval for specific projects. For questions, please call the Public Works Department at 307-733-3079.
